Dave Curtis, M.S., CCC-SLP, is a bilingual Speech Pathologist Researcher for Dr. Kaushanskaya’s Language Acquisition and Bilingualism (LAB) Lab at the Waisman Center of the University of Wisconsin. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Spanish from Luther College. After several years of working in the public schools, Dave went on to earn M.S. in Speech Pathology Marquette University with a Bilingual English-Spanish Certification.
Dave draws from previous experience in the public school setting providing evaluations and therapy for a variety of children including bilingual English-Spanish, monolingual English speakers as well as children with other culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. His research interests include language impairment and bilingualism. Dave and the team members of the LAB Lab strive to provide empirical evidence to help create a greater understanding of bilingualism and language impairment for families, school personnel and the greater community.
