Ishanti Gangopadhyay

Ishanti is a postdoctoral researcher at New York University.  Ishanti earned her Ph.D. in Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where her research focused on the relationship between language development and executive functioning in bilingual children and children with language impairments. Her dissertation, funded by the NSF, examined the impact of social-pragmatic cues on word learning in monolingual and bilingual children. Ishanti’s current research at NYU focuses on language development and language learning in children with communication difficulties (e.g. autism) from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
