Margarethe is a doctoral student in the department of Communication Sciences and Disorders. She is originally from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and has a BA from Indiana University in Linguistics and East Asian Languages & Cultures. Margarethe’s research interest include investigating how language exposure affects production and perception in bilingual children, effects of accented vs. native speech on the phonological system, and cross-linguistic lexical activation in bilinguals during auditory word recognition.
