Caitlyn Slawny, M.S., CCC-SLP
Position title: Doctoral Student
Caitlyn is a certified speech-language pathologist and doctoral student in the department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Wisconsin – Madison. She graduated with her B.A. in both Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences and Spanish from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities in 2015 and earned her M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology from Rush University in 2017. Caitlyn practiced clinically for over three years as a bilingual speech-language pathologist with children and adults in Chicago. Her research interests include bilingualism and cognition, bilingual language acquisition, language and social/pragmatic development in children with autism, and, most specifically, language learning and use in bilingual children with autism.
